Biography

Dr. Benjamin Sketchler is an orthopedic surgeon with Pontchartrain Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. He specializes in surgical and non-surgical treatments of hip and knee, particularly joint replacement.

Dr. Sketchler grew up in Metairie, LA. He graduated Valedictorian of Jesuit High School and Summa Cum Laude from Tulane University. He then attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, and went on to orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX.

During his residency, he received many awards for his patient care, surgical skills, teaching, and high examination scores. Finally, he completed his fellowship training in adult joint reconstruction at the prestigious Texas Orthopedic Hospital, honing his skills in hip and knee replacement surgery.

Dr. Sketchler is a proud Louisianan who is thrilled to return home to care for his community, and he is honored to join the practice where his father, Dr. Jeffrey Sketchler, spent decades helping patients. He enjoys spending time with family, running, and finding excuses to be outdoors.
